Serving you good coffee since 2017
Jan Coffee is the first street coffee shop to open on October 22, 2017 in Sulaimaniyah. Since its creation, Jan Coffee has caused a significant shift in the demographics of Salim Street, as it has managed to become a meeting point for all of the city's diverse population.
All of the city's young men and women gathered here for a cup of coffee and to catch up on each other's lives. Jan Coffee was able to shift the belief that women have the same right as men to sit on a public roadway.
The opening of Jan Coffee spawned a chain of other coffee shops in the city, which aided the private sector and many young people in establishing their own enterprises while servicing the city's rich culture.
Jan Coffee is now the first Kurdish Coffee brand in the region, as announced in a special event with the presence of the Governor of Sulaimaniyah.
The event was streamed internationally, and Jan Coffee is now shipping Kurdish Coffee to many countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, etc.

First Coffee Kiosk
Jan cafe was the first Kiosk/Street coffee shop in Sulaymaniyah. Its founder, Mr. Askandar Ali, created a quality product from scratch and has left his mark on the local coffee scene by introducing a premium array of artisanal goods to the city’s masses.
Meet Askandar Ali
A weeny drop of coffee, one big smile. That is how Jan Coffee began its journey in 2017 as a small coffee store in Sulaymaniyah. Askandar Ali was passionate about serving Kurdish coffee to the city of Sulaymaniyah. The heartwarming experience of making new friends and being part of a community has been his greatest motivation for starting his own business. With help from his family, he succeeded in opening several stores across the city
